George Beers, Pastoral Counselor

BS, Ordained
George graduated in 1991 from the University of Valley Forge after which he, along with his wife Pam, entered pastoral ministry.  He most recently served as the Lead Pastor of the Assemblies of God church in Colville, WA from 2004 - 2019.  With over 29 years of pastoral and leadership experience, he has served in a variety of settings and positions in both New York and Washington. In 2012-2013, he experienced a combination of emotional, physical, and spiritual issues that threatened to end his ministry.  He knows firsthand the healing that flows from the experience of God’s agape love.
In addition to serving with MRI, George and Pam travel frequently, seeking to refresh, inspire, strengthen, and encourage congregations and church leadership. He is entering the second year of Gonzaga Universities, MA in Communication and Leadership, with a specialization in Strategic and Organizational Communication.
George and Pam were married in 1988 and have two adult children. They love hiking, cooking, a delightful book, and football! Go Hawks!

Pam Beers, Pastoral Counselor

MA, Ordained
Pam has served alongside her husband George in a variety of pastoral settings over the past 32 years. Their work has taken them from small town rural settings to large cities, from church planting to being involved in long-established churches, from east coast to west coast. Pam’s heart for ministry has included areas of women’s ministry, children’s ministry, prayer teams, teaching, and worship. A desire to grow in Spiritual Formation led Pam to Portland Seminary where she earned a master’s degree which specialized in Spiritual Direction. Pam’s desire is to bring this passion and learning as a new team member of MRI.

Pam and George were married in 1988 and have two adult children. She enjoys filling her empty-nest time with her husband as they explore the world around them. She secretly enjoys baseball over football but wisely understands the current culture. Go Hawks! (And Mariners!!)
